Giving back. Because taking responsibility matters.

Our culture of care extends to our wider community. We’re committed to positively contributing to our community both locally and beyond.

A roadmap to make a difference

We’ve developed our own Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Plan which focuses on social, ethical, environmental and sustainability issues. It’s our roadmap to enable us to make an impact as we proactively work to help people and our planet every day. It’s our priority.

  • Community matters.

  • Environment matters.

  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion matters.

  • Wellbeing matters.

A snapshot of some of our community initiatives

As part of our Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Plan, we have a wide range of active projects and initiatives to support our community. We’ve outlined a few of these below.

Chantal, the Founder of Bronte House, and her family developed The Blue Book following personal experience. Passionate about supporting people in the community, The Blue Book is a family project, a voluntary initiative, that summarises the activities and support available to older people, people living with dementia and carers in North Yorkshire (a separate edition for Northumberland). Entries and copies are free of charge.

To date, we’ve distributed over 70,000 hard copies including over 30,000 copies of the North Yorkshire edition since they launched locally in 2023. We’re always trying to reach more people so if you would like a copy, or copies to share, please do get in touch and we can arrange these for you.
