Our unique approach

One vision. Five key pillars to exceptional care. All underpinned by eight core values.

As part of the development of Bronte House, we got your feedback on our approach and values so we could learn about what’s important to you. This is the foundation on which we built Bronte House - it’s how we operate and at the heart of our ethos of care.

One vision

To maximise the quality of life of older people, people living with dementia and those that support them.

Driven by our vision, achieved through our strong pillars and core values.

Our five key pillars to exceptional care

Unique
approach

A small, specialist provider who adopts a discreet, flexible and holistic approach to care, which is responsive to the unique needs and preferences of each individual.

A positive approach which focuses on abilities, promoting and enabling dignity, choice and independence.

Care is delivered by a small consistent team.

1

Specialists in dementia care

Our focus is on specialist dementia care, to ensure Bronte House is centred around delivering the highest quality, market-leading dementia care, which pioneers evidence-based best practice.

Our team all receive specialist dementia training through our internal training programme, ‘The Bronte House Training Academy’.

2

Unwaivered focus on people

3

People and their wellbeing are at the heart of our care ethos.

We care deeply about the people we support and our team - we provide person-centred care, and value, recognise and reward our team for the difference they make to the lives of others.

We prioritise hiring the best team who have aligned values, are well-paid and well-trained.

4

Strong community relationships

Strong relationships and partnerships with family, friends, the wider circle of care and local community.

We positively contribute to the local community and support people to remain actively involved.

Innovative and forward thinking

5

A culture of continuous improvement which ensures we’re always proactively thinking about what we can do to improve the lives of the people we serve.

Everyone has a seat at the table and a leadership role to ensure we deliver outstanding care.

We always strive to be better and deliver the highest quality care.

  • The people we serve are at the heart of what we do. It’s about individuality not uniformity so we take time to listen and build relationships first. We understand our clients’ individual needs and what matters to them, both the big and the small things. The small things are the big things to us.

  • We ensure our kindness and empathy is unwaivered. Our friendly, gentle, and patient approach means when we serve our clients, it’s always in a caring, dignified and compassionate manner.

  • We believe it’s a privilege to have the opportunity to care for people and to make a difference to the lives of others. We’re positive in our approach and go the extra mile with a smile for the people we serve.

  • We foster an honest, inclusive and collaborative environment which hinges on strong relationships, communication and a culture of teamwork across the circle of care. The people we serve are better when we all work together. Better together. Stronger together.

  • We strive to lead the market for best practice care and dementia care which is achieved through our culture of continuous improvement, openness and transparency. We proactively look for opportunities to research, learn, to be curious and creative, to be innovative and do things differently.

It’s part of our DNA. It’s the ongoing feedback, the small ideas and the big picture thinking that help to drive this. We believe everyone has a seat at the table to ensure exceptional dementia care.

  • We will always do the right thing even when no one is watching. Integrity, trust, transparency and accountability are at the core of what we do.

  • We always value and respect everyone and everything including the people we support, their loved ones, our team, as well as their homes, our wider community, and our environment.

  • We recognise that it’s life’s big and small moments that enrich people’s lives making them enjoyable, fun and fulfilled so we focus on them. We celebrate when we make a positive difference to the lives of others - in turn we win together.

Underpinned by eight core values
