Bronte House is a lifestyle choice. We know that older people and people living with dementia want to live in the comfort and familiarity of their own home for as long as possible. Our commitment is to support you to achieve this and to continue to live your life to the full.
Passionate about making a difference to the lives of older people, people living with dementia and those that support them, Bronte House provides compassionate, dignified and innovative care, and specialist dementia care in York and the surrounding areas. Our care is tailored around the unique needs, preferences and choices of each individual. We’re a small, local and independent home care service in York with an uncompromising commitment to delivering the highest quality care.
We co-produced Bronte House to ensure it was designed around what you want, need and expect. We took time to learn about your experiences, what is important to you, and what is needed to improve dementia care. Our story is underpinned by personal experience, and an unwaivered passion to make a difference to the lives of older people, people living with dementia and those that support them.
We wanted Bronte House to be designed around what people want and need so we undertook a research project to get feedback and insights from people with lived experience. This has driven the development of Bronte House, a home care service in York.

We focus on providing high-quality home care in York, and specialist dementia care, bespoke to each individual. Our approach to care is discreet, holistic and flexible, with independence and choice at the heart of everything we do.
Based on research and feedback, we have developed a selection of services including hourly home care, personal care and companionship through to sleep-ins and respite, to name a few.
